Sat 1 Nov 2014 : Competition Details

City North Little Athletics - Sat 1 Nov 2014

The program for this Saturday can be found here. This weeks program has event 5 featuring relay training so if you are attending the Regional Relay day please attend to make sure you have practiced your baton changes.

We aim to start: grounds set up from 1pm, volunteers sign up from 1.45pm; athletes warm up from 1.55pm and the competition from 2pm. As usual we require assistance from those attending with set-up, age marshaling, place judging, recording and canteen. The parent roster book, to be filled in by those helping is located in the canteen (this is used to work out Parent Levy refunds).

Regional Relays - Update
Approx 60%,141 City North Athletes have registered for the Relays. This means we will have a strong presence on what we hope will be a good fun day next weekend. A volunteer sign up sheet for the Relays will be in the Canteen this Saturday. As parents will not be required to assist with events that day they are encouraged to sign up for a 2 hour slot in the 3 key areas including the Canteen.

Remember that the event starts from 8:30am and runs all day. Please ensure you are there at least 45 minutes prior to your event starting.

It is also essential that you have full uniform including club shirt, age patch and number as well as club shorts or pants (no skins). If you do not have full uniform you will be disqualified and be unable to compete.

There are also strict rules for spikes for U11 and above. Please ensure that you only use spikes on running events and that they are removed immediately after the race.

A volunteer sign up sheet for the Relays will be in the Canteen this Saturday. As parents will not be required to assist with events that day they are encouraged to sign up for a 2 hour slot in the 3 key areas including the Canteen.

Important Reminder

Parents, please remember that we are not a child minding organisation. We understand that work and other commitments may prevent you from staying and helping every Saturday, but it is essential that your child has another adult who has agreed to take responsibility for them. This is not only necessary in case of accident or illness, but the program may finish early for many reasons - rain, small numbers etc. If this occurs, it is not fair that Club committee members are left minding your child long after the day's events are over. It is also distressing for the child to be left after everyone else has gone.

Proof of Age
For those who are yet to provide proof of age please do so asap.
