Sat 20th Sept 2014 : Competition & Officials Training
The program for this Saturday 20 September 2014 can be found here. We aim to start: grounds set up from 1pm, volunteers sign up from 1.45pm; athletes warm up from 1.55pm and the competition from 2pm.
Volunteers
As always we require assistance on Saturdays with set-up, age marshaling, place judging, recording and canteen. The parent roster book to be filled in by those helping is located in the canteen. This must be completed in order to get the Parent Levy back. Please ask Committee Members (in Club Shirts) if you are unsure where to help.
Officials Training This Saturday
This Saturday an Officials Officer, Donna Smith from QLAA will be taking interested parents through track and field events. The aim is to ensure parents are familiar and comfortable with operating events and there is consistency in procedures followed. An open book multi-choice test will follow (parents can take this home with answers and return it next week as it may take a few minutes to complete). Hopefully this will lead to a number of parents obtaining their D Level Officials qualification. We hope to have a number of parents participate. School Holidays
We do not break during the September school holidays so both Saturday competitions and training continue throughout.
Aspley Pentathlon - Sunday 12 October 2014
The Aspley Pentathlon is our first out of Centre competition. Athletes must register to attend and they must wear full uniform with age patch and badges. Information about the Pentathlon and registration forms will be at Windsor Park this Saturday. It is an excellent event and always well attended by our club. It is the only out of Centre competition open to the under 6s.
Registration Numbers 300+
Registration numbers greater than 300 were unavailable at registration time. If you are still waiting for your new registration number please collect it from the club room registrations area. Due to sponsorship changes this year new registration numbers need to be used.
